TrimQuote respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and transparently.
This Privacy Policy explains how TrimQuote collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you visit the TrimQuote website, create or use a TrimQuote account, use the TrimQuote application, use TrimQuote Payments, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our services.
TrimQuote is operated by Brian Bible, a sole proprietor doing business under the TrimQuote trade name (“TrimQuote,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using TrimQuote, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through:
the TrimQuote website;
the TrimQuote web application;
account registration and authentication;
estimates and invoices;
customer and vehicle management;
business and organization settings;
subscription billing;
TrimQuote Payments;
payment requests and payment-related records;
customer support;
marketing communications;
forms and communications submitted to TrimQuote; and
other TrimQuote services that reference this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of third parties such as Stripe. Those providers maintain their own privacy policies and agreements.
2. Information We Collect
The information TrimQuote collects depends on how you interact with the Services.
We may collect the categories described below.
3. Account and Identity Information
When you create or maintain a TrimQuote account, we may collect information such as:
name;
email address;
account identifier;
organization or business name;
user role or permissions;
authentication-related identifiers;
account status;
subscription status; and
other information needed to establish and manage your account.
Authentication may be provided through third-party infrastructure providers.
TrimQuote does not store your password in readable form.
4. Business and Organization Information
When you configure a TrimQuote organization, we may collect information such as:
business name;
contact information;
business settings;
tax settings;
estimate and invoice preferences;
deposit preferences;
numbering preferences;
payment settings;
organization users and roles; and
other information you choose to provide about your business.
5. Customer Information Entered by TrimQuote Users
TrimQuote users may enter information concerning their own customers.

customer name;
email address;
telephone number;
billing or contact information;
notes;
customer history;
associated estimates;
associated invoices;
payment information and payment status;
communication information; and
other information entered by the business using TrimQuote.
TrimQuote processes this information primarily to provide services to the TrimQuote business customer that entered it.
The business using TrimQuote remains responsible for determining whether it has the legal right to collect, enter, and use its customers’ information.
6. Vehicle and Job Information
TrimQuote may process vehicle and job-related information, including:
vehicle year;
make;
model;
vehicle identification or descriptive information entered by the user;
requested work;
job descriptions;
notes;
photographs or files;
estimate information;
labor and material information;
invoice information;
job status; and
other information associated with a customer’s work.
7. Estimates, Invoices, and Business Records
TrimQuote may store and process business records created through the application, including:
estimates;
estimate line items;
invoices;
invoice line items;
deposits;
taxes;
discounts;
balances;
payment history;
payment methods recorded for bookkeeping purposes;
payment dates;
notes; and
related transaction history.
These records may be retained to preserve financial and business history even after a transaction or job has been completed.
8. TrimQuote Subscription Billing Information
TrimQuote uses Stripe to provide subscription billing services.
When you purchase or manage a TrimQuote subscription, Stripe may collect and process payment information such as:
payment card information;
billing information;
payment method information; and
other financial information required to process your subscription.
TrimQuote generally receives and stores limited subscription-related information necessary to operate your account, such as:
Stripe customer identifiers;
Stripe subscription identifiers;
subscription status;
billing state;
renewal information; and
related subscription metadata.
TrimQuote does not intentionally store full payment-card numbers or card security codes used for subscription billing.
Stripe processes payment credentials under Stripe’s own privacy policy, terms, and security practices.
9. TrimQuote Payments and Stripe Connect
TrimQuote Payments allows eligible businesses to accept customer payments using Stripe Connect.
To provide TrimQuote Payments, TrimQuote creates and interacts with a Stripe Connect Express connected account associated with the participating TrimQuote organization.
Stripe provides the underlying payment-processing and connected-account services.
TrimQuote may receive, access, process, or store information related to a connected Stripe account and transactions processed through TrimQuote Payments.
10. Stripe Connected Account Information
Connected-account information processed by TrimQuote may include:
Stripe connected-account identifier;
TrimQuote connected-account registry identifier;
connected-account status;
onboarding status;
charges-enabled status;
payouts-enabled status;
details-submitted status;
country;
default currency;
capability information;
Stripe account requirements;
limited business-profile information;
account-status information; and
other limited information needed to determine whether TrimQuote Payments is available.
Stripe may separately collect additional identity, ownership, tax, banking, or business-verification information directly from you during Stripe-hosted onboarding.
TrimQuote does not necessarily receive all information that you provide directly to Stripe.
11. TrimQuote Payments Transaction Information
When a customer payment is initiated or processed through TrimQuote Payments, TrimQuote may process or store information such as:
Stripe Checkout Session identifier;
PaymentIntent identifier;
Charge identifier;
Application Fee identifier;
Refund identifier;
Stripe customer identifier when returned by Stripe;
payment amount;
refund amount;
currency;
payment status;
refund status;
application-fee amount;
related invoice identifier;
related payment-request identifier;
organization identifier;
customer name;
customer email address;
transaction timestamps; and
reconciliation information.
TrimQuote uses this information to operate TrimQuote Payments, maintain invoice balances, reconcile transactions, manage refunds, calculate and reconcile TrimQuote application fees, prevent duplicate settlement, maintain transaction history, and provide support.
12. Payment Card Information
Customer payment-card entry for TrimQuote Payments occurs through Stripe-hosted Checkout.
TrimQuote does not intentionally collect or store:
full customer card numbers;
card security codes such as CVC or CVV; or
raw payment-card credentials.
Those payment credentials are entered into and processed through Stripe’s systems.
You should not enter full card numbers, CVC codes, or similar sensitive payment credentials into ordinary TrimQuote notes, descriptions, forms, uploads, or other fields that are not specifically designed for secure payment entry.
13. Payout Bank Information
Stripe may collect financial-account information necessary to make payouts to businesses using TrimQuote Payments.
TrimQuote does not intentionally store:
full payout bank account numbers;
bank routing numbers; or
full debit-card credentials used for Stripe payouts.
Such information is handled by Stripe under its own systems and privacy practices.
TrimQuote may receive limited status information indicating whether payouts have been enabled on a connected account.
14. Refund Information
If an authorized TrimQuote user submits a customer refund through TrimQuote Payments, TrimQuote may process information related to:
the original customer payment;
requested refund amount;
Stripe refund identifier;
refund status;
refund timestamps;
remaining refundable amount;
related application fee;
application-fee refund amount; and
related invoice or payment records.
TrimQuote may also receive information from Stripe concerning eligible refunds initiated outside the TrimQuote application so that transaction records can be reconciled.
Refund and transaction records may be retained after completion for bookkeeping, reconciliation, fraud prevention, support, legal, and audit-history purposes.
15. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit or use TrimQuote, certain technical information may be collected automatically.
Depending on the service and technology involved, this may include:
IP address;
browser type;
browser version;
device type;
operating system;
date and time of access;
pages or features accessed;
session information;
referring page or website;
application events;
diagnostic information;
error information; and
security-related information.
We may use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve TrimQuote.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent TrimQuote from sending transactional, security, billing, legal, account, or service-related communications when appropriate.

password reset;

TrimQuote Payments;

Stripe processes information independently under its own legal agreements and privacy practices.
Your organization
Information associated with a TrimQuote organization may be accessible to authorized users of that organization according to their roles and permissions.
For example, owners or managers may have access to customer, estimate, invoice, payment, and organization information needed to operate the business.
Legal and safety reasons
TrimQuote may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or lawful government request;
enforce our Terms or other agreements;
investigate fraud or security incidents;
protect the rights or safety of TrimQuote, users, customers, or others; or
establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Business transfers
If TrimQuote is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, conversion to another business structure, or transfer of some or all of the TrimQuote business, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

TrimQuote does not sell personal information for money in the ordinary meaning of the term.

TrimQuote relies on managed infrastructure providers to host and operate the Services.
Current infrastructure includes services used for:
application hosting;
authentication;
database storage;
payment processing;
email delivery; and
related technical operations.
Information may be stored or processed in data centers operated by TrimQuote’s service providers.
TrimQuote’s core business data is maintained in database infrastructure used by the TrimQuote application.
26. Data Security
TrimQuote uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
Security practices may include measures such as:
encrypted communications using HTTPS;
authentication controls;
organization-based authorization;
user roles and permissions;
tenant-isolation controls;
parameterized database queries;

environment-variable management for secrets;
transaction integrity controls;
payment reconciliation controls;

No online service, storage system, network, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

27. Organization and Tenant Isolation
TrimQuote is designed as a multi-tenant business application.
Business data is associated with an organization, and the application uses authorization and ownership controls intended to prevent unauthorized access between organizations.
Authorized users generally access information belonging to their own organization according to their assigned permissions.
28. Data Retention
TrimQuote retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, financial, security, and legal purposes.

whether your account remains active;
whether information is needed to provide the Services;

For certain information concerning customers of a business using TrimQuote, the business itself determines why the information is entered into TrimQuote and how it is used.

TrimQuote may assist its business customer with an appropriate privacy request where required.

TrimQuote is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children.

TrimQuote does not control Stripe’s independent privacy practices.
36. International Users
TrimQuote is operated from the United States.
If you access TrimQuote from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where TrimQuote’s service providers operate.
Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required, TrimQuote will use legally recognized mechanisms for applicable international data transfers.
